Facet legal

Terms of service.

These terms govern your use of the Facet app, facetlauncher.com, and Facet Pro purchases and licenses.

Last updated: September 7, 2026

Acceptance and scope

Facet is developed and published by Quartz. By downloading, purchasing, or using Facet or facetlauncher.com, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website. These Terms apply only to Facet and do not replace the separate terms for other Quartz products.

License

Facet Free is provided without charge. Facet Pro is licensed, not sold, as a personal, non-transferable license. A Facet Pro purchase may be activated on up to three Macs, subject to the product and checkout terms shown when you purchase. You may not copy, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass license or trial controls except where applicable law permits it.

Trial, purchases, and refunds

Facet may offer an optional 14-day Pro trial. It requires no credit card and does not create an automatic charge. Purchases are processed by a third-party payment provider or merchant of record, including Dodo Payments. Payment methods, taxes, fraud checks, and checkout accounts may be governed by that provider's terms. Refund requests are handled under the Facet Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

You may use Facet only in accordance with applicable law and these Terms. Do not interfere with the website, trial service, checkout flow, update feed, or licensing systems; submit false information; or use Facet in a way that infringes another person's rights.

Updates and availability

Facet may provide updates, change features, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary to operate and improve the product. We do not guarantee that every version will remain available forever or that every feature will work with every macOS version, third-party app, or configuration.

Disclaimers and liability

Facet and this website are provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Quartz disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Quartz is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Facet.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms when Facet, its services, or legal requirements change. The current version is published on this page. For a question about these Terms, email [email protected].
