Who this policy covers

Facet is a Mac app launcher developed and published by Quartz. This policy covers Facet, its optional trial and license services, and the facetlauncher.com website. It does not replace the separate policies for other Quartz products or websites.

Data kept on your Mac

Facet scans installed app bundles to display your app library. App names, bundle identifiers, app locations, icons, your folders, custom order, modes, display preferences, and launcher settings are processed and stored locally on your Mac. Facet does not send this launcher data, your document contents, file names, screen contents, browsing history, or installed-app list to Quartz.

Information we may receive

• Trial activation: when you start the optional 14-day Pro trial, Facet sends an app-scoped one-way device identifier to prevent repeated trials on the same Mac. The service does not receive the raw hardware identifier, Mac name, app library, or document contents.
• Purchases and licenses: our payment provider may send Quartz limited purchase, license, product, and support details needed to provide Facet Pro and help with a purchase.
• Support: if you email us, we receive the address and message you provide.
• Website operations: hosting and security providers may process ordinary request information, such as IP address, browser type, request path, and timestamp.

Website analytics and cookies

facetlauncher.com uses Google Analytics 4 only after you choose to allow analytics cookies. It helps us understand aggregate website traffic and interactions such as downloads and checkout clicks; it does not receive your Facet launcher data or the contents of your Mac.

You can keep only necessary cookies, or change your choice through the cookie controls. Your preference is stored locally in your browser. Google processes analytics data under its Privacy Policy.

How we use and share information

We use the limited information we receive to operate Facet, provide trials, licenses and support, prevent abuse, process purchases, and keep the website reliable. We do not sell personal information or use third-party advertising trackers. We share data only with service providers needed for hosting, payments, licensing, email, support, and analytics when you opt in, or when required by law.

Retention and your choices

We retain support and purchase information only as long as needed for support, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we control, subject to those obligations. You can also withdraw optional analytics consent through the cookie controls or your browser storage.
